In Outer Ring there are different types of weapons:

Each weapon has a different configuration of parts for assembly, as well as additional accessories.

General Weapon Rarity

To calculate the rarity of the manufactured weapon, you have to make an average of the rarities of the components of the weapon. In the case of melee weapons 2 or 3 parts, of pistols and heavy weapons minimum 5, and in the rest of firearms, minimun 6. The rarity values go from 1 to 5, being 1 common and 5 legendary, leaving the following margins:

Thus, if a weapon has components of different rarities, the worst ones will prevail over the best ones, and will always tend to have the rarity most common among the pieces.
The rarity of the weapon also adds a modifier to the damage.

Weapon Tier

To assemble a weapon all its parts must be of the same tier, so weapons will always have the same tier as their components.
Depending on the Tier, the available weapons and components can only have the following rarities:

Weapon Crafting

In order to create the different weapons you will first need to craft their different parts. Some of them, such as the bodies or barrels are essential to the creation of the the gun. Others, such as sights or laser pointers are optional, but in addition to providing high-level skills, they all modify the characteristics of the weapon when crafted.
